Education, Empowerment, and Mobilization

The Health Education Division of the Bernards Township Health Department includes health education and promotion, nutrition services, youth services, human services, and risk communication. Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) are specially trained professionals, certified by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Inc., who design, conduct, and evaluate programs and activities that improve the public's health and well-being. Bernards Township Health Educators are involved in several community partnerships and act as liaisons between the health department and various community agencies.
