February is American Heart Month

February is American Heart Month, a time when all people—especially women—are encouraged to focus on their cardiovascular health to prevent heart disease.

The term “heart disease” refers to several types of heart conditions. The most common type of heart disease in the United States is coronary heart disease (CAD), which affects the blood flow to the heart. Decreased blood flow can cause a heart attack.

The CDC (Center for Disease Prevention and Control) published as of January 25, 2024, a total of 9 measle cases were reported in Georgia, Missouri, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.  The CDC has confirmed a total of 23 cases of measles between Dec. 1, 2023, and Jan. 23, 2024, including seven cases from international travelers and two outbreaks with five or more infections.
